Shed Row Benefit for The New Stride Foundation
The New Stride Foundation is having a Silent Auction for a Gift Certificate worth $1000 toward a Home and Garden Portrait, worth $3500-$7500. This is a great way to help rehabilitate and retrain retiring thoroughbreds. They are often in a vulnerable position when their career is over.
There will be lots of fresh market produce, some other fabulous artists, and some amazing products by ONE EARTH. My favourite the Coconut Flower Nectar sugar.
This is again being hosted by Barb Beaton at Fields and Flowers.
To get to us, drive away from White Rock along 16th Avenue, and turn right at 232nd Avenue, and we are just up the hill. There will be a sign at 232nd at 16th and another up the hill. If you're using GPS, the address is 900-232nd Avenue, Langley.
It's a very pretty part of Langley, a nice get-away from all the city foofaraw!

Shed Row Art Fair, Saturday, July 09, 9:00am-4:30pm
Come and join me with sixteen other wonderful artists from the Lower Mainland.The Shed Row Art Fair is being hosted by Barb Beaton at Fields and Flowers farm, in Langley—deep in horsie country. Some of the artists will also be painting at the fair, so it's a great opportunity to get the story behind their process. I will bring some of my drawings behind my creative process to show for those of you who are curious.
KJM Nursery in The Southlands, Vancouver, Saturday, July 23, 1-6pm
Come and join us at this beautiful property in the Southlands. KJM is a great place to pick up plants, or some fresh eggs from the lovely chickens. There will be other wonderful artists, and Ron Samworth will be filling the air with his gentle and masterful jazz guitar. Wine, appetizers, tea and coffee will be served toward the end of the afternoon. Hope to see you there!
